The members of the South Umpqua Historical Society who maintain the Pioneer Indian Museum in Canyonville wish to gratefully thank The Nipa Hut, aka, Rose and David Deaton for their donation. Their last day of business was Friday, July 31 and they had invited their patrons to come on that day and they would donate the proceeds of the day to the museum.
Keeping our doors open and free to visiting families is always a challenge, so we are very grateful to Rose and David and all of the public who enjoyed Rose’s great food for the last time on Friday. What a wonderful gesture!
We hope they enjoy their time in retirement and we will miss The Nipa Hut.
