On behalf of the Board of Directors and members of the South Umpqua Historical Society, we wish to express our gratitude to have received the support of the Lilja Family Fund through The Oregon Community Foundation with a grant for $8,000. $4,000 of the grant will pay for one-half of the operating expenses for the coming winter and $4,000 will pay for staff assistance to digitize our collection at our Pioneer Indian Museum. This work is a huge step forward for access to the history and people in our area.
